Hudson Bockmier pitched a complete game shutout to lead the Pittsford Mendon Vikings to the win. The senior left-hander allowed one walk, two hits and struck out 10 batters on 86 pitches. Bockmier has double-digit strikeouts in each of his last three starts and seven wins on the season. At the plate, Bockmier doubled in Karthik Mathew-Malik for a 2-0 lead as part of a three-run fifth inning. Bockmier scored on Andrew Bernacki’s two-run double to extend the Vikings’ advantage to 4-0. Bernacki drew a pair of walks as well. Kyle Hennessey and Zach Janson both collected a hit and an RBI. Janson had two walks and two runs scored. Lucas Anaya and Mathew-Malik both went 2-for-3 at the dish. For Honeoye Falls-Lima, Hayden Smith and Ben Sousa both collected the team’s only hits of the game. The Pittsford Sutherland Knights scored in each of the first four innings, including five in the third and four in the fourth. Keeghan Cummings and Connor Fitzsimmons both collected three hits. Cummings singled twice, doubled and scored three runs. Fitzsimmons doubled twice, singled, drove in five runs and crossed the plate twice. Tate Pierson and Jack Zawacki both went 1-for-2 with two RBI and a run scored. Pierson drew a walk. Nick Provenzale and Robert Nolan both were 2-for-3 with an RBI. Provenzale scored a pair of runs. Seniors Elliot Damon and Julian Melendez both collected a hit and drove in a run. Senior pitcher Tyler DePaolis threw four innings, allowed an earned run and struck out three batters to pick up the win. For Greece Olympia, senior Jonathan Berbert singled in all three at-bats. Joey Alphonse and Cameron Carr both collected a pair of hits. Alphonse stole home base for the first run of the game in the opening frame.

Parker Houde worked a walk-off base on balls to cap a late rally which saw Fairport erase a four-run deficit. Derek Watson led the seventh with a double and later scored the game winner.

Trailing 1-0, the Canandaigua Braves surged for three runs in both the third and fifth innings and held off a late rally by the Webster Schroeder Warriors. Dylan Mackenzie hurled four innings of relief, allowed four hits, three walks and struck out six batters on 69 pitches. The junior right-hander fielded a groundball to first base to strand the tying run at third. Mackenzie fanned the first two batters he faced in the seventh inning as well. At the dish, Mackenzie tripled twice, singled and drove in five runs. Caden Lefave, Joe Brinza, Michael Sculli and Sam Werth all collected a hit. Brinza scored a pair of runs and Sculli one. Sculli drew a walk as well. Junior catcher Seth Vigneri had two walks and a sacrifice fly to put the Braves on the board in the third inning. For the Warriors, sophomore first baseman Sal Cutaia tripled in Matt Piccarreto and Corey Spooner to trim the deficit to 6-5 with two outs in the seventh inning. Cutaia doubled to right field in the sixth as well. Piccarreto tripled and scored a pair of runs. Jake Dunn and Alex Vogt both had an RBI. Alex Vogt singled twice in four at-bats. Dunn singled in the first run of the game in the second inning. Junior Jack VonAhnen drew a pair of walks. On the mound, Dunn fanned five batters in 4 2/3 innings.

The Honeoye Bulldogs erupted for eight runs in the last three innings to pull away for the victory. The Bulldogs scored in five of their seven innings. For Alfred-Almond, Dylan Guthrie and Will Tormey both collected a hit. Guthrie drew a walk as well. Senior Austin Swackhamer stole a base and scored Alfred-Almond’s lone run of the game in the fourth inning to trim the deficit to 2-1.

The Marcus Whitman Wildcats blew the game open with eight runs in the fourth inning and seven in the seventh. Luke Bassett, Christian Daniels, Dylan Howell and Kyle Valastro all had two base-knocks and a pair of RBI. Both of Howell’s hits were solo shots. Bassett and Howell both swiped two bases. Daniels stole a base as well. Howell and Valastro both drew a walk. Howell scored four runs, Daniels three and Bassett and Valastro two apiece. Carson Miller and Austin Webster both drove in a run, drew a pair of walks and crossed the plate twice. Miller went a stolen base. Webster was 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Senior Kyle Copper collected a hit and an RBI in five at-bats. On the mound, Bassett hurled six innings of three-run ball, allowed four hits, three walks and struck out eight batters on 88 pitches.

The Waterloo Indians scored in all six innings, including four in both the first and fourth and three in the fifth. Senior Richard Bruno singled in Steven Dewall and Brian Oddi in the first inning. Senior Matt Barron singled twice, one which drove in a run, doubled, drew a walk and crossed the plate twice. Jared Hendrix and Derek Slywka both collected a pair of hits. Hendrix had an RBI and Slywka scored two runs. Ethan Hunt and Oddi both collected a base-knock and crossed the plate twice. Oddi drove in a run as well. Dewall scored three runs of his own. On the rubber, Slywka fanned eight hitters in 3 2/3 scoreless innings for the victory. For South Seneca, junior Nicholas Twardeski doubled in Elijah Griffen and Chris Lucas as part of a four-run fifth inning. For the game, Twardeski was 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored. Ben Jessop and Lucas both had a hit and an RBI. Lucas drew a walk and scored two runs and Jessop crossed the plate once. Senior Spencer John singled twice, doubled and scored a run in three at-bats.

The Palmyra-Macedon Red Raiders defeated the Clyde-Savannah Golden Eagles in the consolation game of the Canal Cup tournament at Colburn Park at Newark High School. Freshmen Paul Goodness and Alex Wootton combined to shut out the Golden Eagles.

NEWARK 1
Julius Teabout hurled a no-hitter on 103 pitches to lead the Newark Reds over the Lyons Lions in the championship of the Canal Cup tournament at Colburn Park at Newark High School. The sophomore pitcher allowed three walks and fanned 13 batters. In the fourth inning, junior Matthew Hutteman scored the lone run of the game on a dropped third strike with two outs and the bases loaded. Lucas DeVito, Joshua Scotti and Daniel Wersinger all connected for a hit. Lions senior pitcher Kyle Evans went the distance, allowed three hits and struck out six batters. The Reds won all four of their games this week, including three by one run each. Newark improves to 11-2 on the season, including 7-1 in league play.
