Lee paces Brockport girls

Shinya Lee scored 32 points and the Brockport girls basketball team advanced to the Section V Class A semifinals with a 78-34 victory over Aquinas, Friday night.

Lee connected  13 times from the floor including twice from 3-point land. The junior accounted for 15 points in the first half to send the Blue Devils into the locker room with a 39-19 lead.

GG Allen added 20 for No. 2 Brockport (19-2) which will meet No. 11 Greece Athena in Tuesday’s semifinal.

Bryn Hayes hit three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points for Brockport. DeeDee Allen and Erynn Hogan scored six apiece. Emma Laureano chipped in with two points, and Ella Fadale had one.

Chanel Alexander paced Aquinas with 17 points including a trio of 3-pointers. Sophia Hartman and Sienna Hinchcliffe added four apiece for the Li’l Irish. Lydia Kaplun and Julie Sonricker both scored three points. Hanna Fenton had two points. Nia Williams-Matthews chipped in one point.
