ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Kidtrell Blocker and Antwan Williams combined for 16 fourth-quarter points as the Bishop Kearney boys’ basketball team pulled away from C.G. Finney 77-63 in non-league action Friday night at Ed Nietopski Gymnasium.
Blocker scored 10 of his 16 points during the fourth quarter. The junior guard connected twice from 3-point land as the Kings (8-12) doubled up Finney (16-4) 26-13 over the final eight minutes.
Williams added six points in the fourth quarter.
Five Kings scored in double figures overall with Miles Monchecourt matching Blocker and Williams with 16 points. Miles Rose added 12, and Jamal Williams had 10.
Michael Gentile (3), Deiontray Dixon (2) and Jordan Searles (2) also scored for BK.
Keegan Occor paced Finney (No. 9 NYSSWA Class C) with 25 points. Eighth-grader Markus Robinson added 21 for the Falcons. Caleb Anger hit three 3-pointers and chipped in 11 for Finney. Josh Taylor (4) and Xavier Smith (2) rounded out the scoring for Finney.

The game was rescheduled from earlier this week when weather forced a postponement. Played after the designated end of the Section V regular season, the result will not impact either teams sectional points.
Kearney honored seniors Jordan Searles, TJ Tytler and Jamal Williams prior to their final home game of the season.
Kearney, the No. 9 seed in Class AA, will open sectionals Tuesday night against No. 8 seed UPrep. A 6:30 PM tipoff is scheduled at Roberts Wesleyan College.
Finney, the No. 3 seed in Class C1, will host the East Rochester-Red Creek winner next Friday. A 7 PM start time is slated.
