Shariona Blocker paced the offense, and Makayliah McCorker registered a double-double as the East High girls basketball team downed Bloomfield, 56-25 in non-league action, Wednesday night.
Blocker finished with a game-high 23 points to go along with six rebounds, six steals and three assists. McCorker added 10 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Lady Eagles (8-7) to their third win in the last four games.
Tanasia Williams hauled in 22 rebounds to contribute to the win. The sophomore had six points, five assists and three steals. Shanique Simms grabbed 10 boards and scored nine points. Daniqua Spann contributed six points, seven rebounds and six steals.
Jessica Sheehan led Bloomfield with 12 points. Sarah Barker added four. Tara Ulmer, Samantha Ulmer, Alex Dumbald and Carlie Layton scored two points apiece.
Blocker is averaging 18.7 points for East. Simms scored 10.5. East plays at Aquinas next Tuesday.
