Tah’Jae Hill scored 26 of his game-high 33 points as Hilton erased a halftime deficit to win its second straight game. Hill connected five times from the floor and converted all four of his free throw attempts in the fourth quarter when Hilton outscored Churchville-Chili, 29-13 to put away the game. Mitch Carr scored 17 points, and Najier Daniels added six for the Cadets (No. 8 PS Large Schools’ Poll). Jack Gombatto (4), Noah Malta (3), Jackson DiPalma (2) and Ryan Kurtz (2) rounded out the scoring for Hilton. Churchville-Chili’s Marcus Postell scored all eight of his points in the first half as the Saints took a 24-22 lead into the locker room. Terrence Wilson led C-C with nine. Kamerin Poromon had eight. Griffen Stella (6), Marcellus James (6), John Keele (3), Garland Akins (4), John Bagley (2) and Tylor Allen (5) also scored for Churchville.

Keith Slack connected 10 times from 3-point land and finished with a career-high 50 points to lead Gates-Chili (No. 7 PS Large Schools’ Poll) to its sixth straight win and ninth in the last 10. Slack coming into the game averaging 19.6 points per game, also converted 10-of-11 free throws and grabbed 10 rebounds for the double-double. The senior guard scored 15 in the first quarter when G-C jumped to a 24-19 lead. The Spartans held a 51-45 advantage at halftime. Devin Walton added 13 points for the Spartans. Turner Harris, Traylan McCray and Adam Williams scored five apiece for Gates. Robert Davis paced Wilson with 27 points. Arthur Wilson added 21 for the Wildcats. Christian Harmon and Malikk Johnson scored nine apiece for Wilson. The game featured two Section V players with 1,000 or more career points. Slack now has 1,525 points all time. Davis has 1,510. Other scorers: Wilson – Tory Bradley (6), Latief Holmes (5), Jordan Major (1) and Maurice Young (1). Gates – Mitchell Harris (4), Andrew Newcombe (2) and Mair Morrison (2).

Tyshawn Searight connected on a pair of 3-pointers and scored eight of his 13 points in the fourth quarter to lead Rush-Henrietta to its second win in the last three games. Trailing by one after three quarters, the Royal Comets outscored Webster Thomas 13-7 in the final stanza. Jevante Williams led R-H with 15 points. Nyles Goodwin added 10 points. Charles Bowden added eight, and Tim Jackson had four. Andrew Mason paced Thomas with 18 points. Tyler Williams had 12, and Dannie Palmer contributed 11. Nick Linder (5) and Evan Mitchell (2) rounded out the scoring for the Titans.

Jon Boyce scored seven of his game-high 22 points in the fourth quarter when Elba (No. 4 NYSSWA Class D) broke open a two-point game and went on to win its ninth straight. Boyce connected three times from the floor including one 3-pointer in the final stanza. Colton Dillon converted all four of his free throw attempts in the final eight minutes and scored six in the quarter when Elba topped Perry, 18-9. Dillon finished with 11 points on the night. Zach Marsceill and Tyler Stevens added eight apiece in the win. Collin O’Halloran and Evan Hare scored five apiece. Greyson Huntington contributed two. Michael John Grover, who connected on a buzzer beater in Perry’s win over Avon last week, led the Yellowjackets with 20 points. Cameron Campbell had nine. Carson DeVinney added eight points. Michael Hockey chipped in with seven points, and Dezmond Wilson had two. Elba hasn’t lost since December 19th.

Connor Taylor recorded his eight triple-double of the season with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists to lead Avon (No. 5 PS Small Schools’ Poll) to its fourth win in five games. Junior forward Nick Rowland added 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Tyler Daile added eight for the Braves. Freshman Zach Colvin had seven points and six rebounds. Keegan McCracken (6), Ian Read (5), Paddy Coyne (4), Trevor Drew (2) and Andrew Rowland (1) also scored for Avon. Danville’s Arrik Gerber led all scorers with 27 points. Taylor posted a quadruple-double earlier this season when the senior guard finished with 29 points, 13 rebounds, 12 assists and 10 steals in a win over Keshequa.
