ROCHESTER — With a snowstorm in the forecast, organizers have made changes to the 2019 Rochester Area Players (RAP) Invitational.
Saturday’s (Jan. 19) schedule will now consist of two games:
10:oo AM Pittsford Mendon (9-0) vs. Rush-Henrietta (6-5)
11:45 AM Pittsford Sutherland (7-5) vs. Leadership Academy (8-5)
Monday, January 21st:
12:00 PM UPrep (5-7) vs. NE Douglass (9-3)
1:45 PM Northstar Christian (13-0) vs. Wilson Magnet (4-7)
3:30 PM Bishop Kearney (6-7) vs. East (13-0)
All games will be played at East High.
Four of the teams competing in this year’s event appear in the most recent New York State rankings: Pittsford Mendon (No. 4 NYSSWA Class A), East (NO. 9 NYSSWA Class A), Northstar Christian (No. 11 NYSSWA Class A) and NE Douglass (No. 23 NYSSWA Class A).
Six of Section V’s Career Active scoring leaders will play in the event including all-time leader Northstar Christian’s Miles Brown (2,681 points). The list also includes Wilson Magnet’s Robert Davis (1,483), UPrep’s Jakhi Lucas (1,293), NE Douglass’s Jiahmere Mitchell (1,105), East’s Chaz Washington (1,081) and Leadership Academy’s Rondell Watson (1,100).
