Shariona Blocker scored a game-high 23 points, and Tanasia Williams posted a double-double in a bounce back effort as the East High girls’ basketball team downed Wilson Magnet 64-43 in RCAC action, Tuesday night.
Blocker, averaging 18.36 points per game on the season, also handed out eight assists to go with three rebounds, two blocks and a steal. Williams scored 15 points and corralled 10 rebounds. Williams also collected four steals.
Shanique Simms added 12 points for the Lady Eagles (7-7). Daniqua Spaan had eight. Makarrah Ramsey contributed four points and five rebounds. Makayla McCorker chipped in with two points, three rebounds, three blocks and two steals.
East lost to Geneva, 54-46 last time out. Since starting the season 0-4, the Lady Eagles have compiled a record of 7-3.
