Kamerin Poromon and Terrence Wilson added nine points apiece. Garland Akins and Marcus Postell both scored six. John Keele and Tylor Allen had four apiece. John Bagley chipped in with two points. Sean Smith scored nine of his 16 points in the third quarter when Northstar (No. 11 NYSSWA Class A) broke open a tie game at halftime. Smith converted two of three free throws and connected three times from the floor including a 3-pointer to pace the Knights to a 19-7 advantage in the stanza. Section V’s all-time leading scorer, Miles Brown, finished with a game-high 19 points. Brown has 2,639 career points. Ryan Garwood connected three times behind the arc and scored 17 points. Mike Brown added nine points while Tim Hinds (6) and Atu Tramel (2) rounded out the scoring for Northstar. Jabez Thompson scored nine of his team-high 18 points in the second quarter as Vertus pulled even with Northstar at 24. Rashawn Williams scored 10 points for Vertus. Cesar Ostolaza added seven. Smith, who has scored 1,641 points in his career, paced five Lions in double figures. David Weaver connected five times behind the arc and finished with 17 points. Benji Kemp and Aaron Romero scored 13 apiece while Justin Smith had 11 points. Hunter Bastian scored three. Ahmir James and Xavier Reeves chipped in two apiece. Lyons led 50-38 at halftime. Jayden Castrechini hit four 3-pointers and paced Gananda with 31 points. Jerry Brongo scored 16, and Andrew Gabbard added 13 points for the Blue Panthers. Tim McClare had 10 points. Mason Putnam led Prattsburgh with 23 points. Johnson had 12. LaDre Stanford paced Avoca (No. 2 NYSSWA Class D) with 26 points. Nathan Nunn had 15. The game featured two 1,000-point scorers with Stanford increasing his career total to 1,610 points. Putnam, a junior, has 1,390 points.

Mason VanDeMortel scored eight points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Reds which were held to their lowest point total of the season. Josh Green and Jayden Peters scored seven apiece.
