De’Vante Mateo netted 12 of his career-high 31 points in the first quarter as Monroe sprinted to a 27-15 lead in the consolation game of the Finger Lakes Tip Off Tournament. The Red Jackets went into the locker room at halftime with a 46-29 advantage. Tyquil Glasgow scored 23 points, and Fidel Brock added 14 for Monroe. Chris Kurowski paced Canandaigua with 24 points. Ryan Welch had 15 points, and Cody Aikey added nine. Jojo Jones (5), Kerone Kearse (6), Jamar Williams (4), Axel Mejias (2), Trevone Glasgow (2), Jahmir Bloom (5), Cam Thomas (3), Zaikai Titus (2) and Derek Rivera (2) rounded out the scoring for Monroe. Kyle Martinez scored 10 points and earned All-Tournament team honors. Devin Agosto scored four points and collected eight rebounds for the Reds. Aidan Elliott had six points and nine rebounds. Mason VanDeMortel (8), Josh Green (6) and Gavin Buck (2) also contributed to the Newark scoring. Victor’s Matt Caggiano scored 16 points and earned a spot on the All-Tournament team. Jeremy Summerson added seven points for the Blue Devils. Will Stone (4), Jaxen Roth (6), Will Tehan (3) and Phil Nwugwo (2) also scored for the Blue Devils.

Tournament MVP Ishmael Hannah scored nine of 13 points in the third quarter when Brockport erased a nine-point halftime deficit and went on to win the MTAG Tournament at Spencerport High School. Esten Schalge paced the Blue Devil offense with 14 points. Shamar Lee hit three 3-pointers and added 11 points for the Blue Devils. Kyle Palka (9), Willie Ball (5), Kevin Lawrenz (2), Troy Leibert (6), Oscar Van Detta (2), Sam Velletri (9) and Collin Cantrell (6) also scored for Brockport. The Blue Devils connected on nine 3-pointers in the game. JoJo Plummer led four Schroeder Warrios in double figures with 18. Luke Insley and Josh Hauman scored 14 apiece. Ky’Mere Meeks had 11. Colin Merkey (8), James Knox (6), J. P. McCarten (2) and Collin Donnelly (2) rounded out the scoring for Schroeder.

Amauri Smith led Vertus with 12 points. Rashawn Williams had eight. Cesar Oztolaza scored four points and earned an All-Tournament selection for Vertus. Spencer port outscored Arcadia 17-6 in the second quarter. Anthony Stephenson led Arcadia with six points. Evan Insley had five and Ricky Sutton scored four points. Evan Caufield, Adrian Ortiz, Travers MacNeal, Kyle Blum, Casey Amato and Joe Desiato each scored two points in the loss.
