Ross Janezic (School of the Arts) and Alex Savory (Sodus) combined for five hits, four runs and two RBI to pace DI Grey (3-2) to its third win over four games in Upstate Baseball League (UBL) action at the University of Rochester, Thursday night. Janezic sparked a five-run fourth with a double. Grey sent 11 to the plate in the frame to take a 7-0 lead. Savory, who delivered a two-run walk-off single in Grey’s 14-13 win Wednesday night, went 3-for-3 in the contest with an RBI and two runs scored. Janezic finished 2-for-3. Andrew Treviso (Fairport) was 2-for-3 with a run scored. John Bagley (Churchville-Chili) added two RBI and a run scored. Andrew Hebert (Webster Schroeder) singled and drove in a run. Ben Hintz (McQuaid) did not allow a hit and picked up the win striking out three and walking four over three shutout innings. Cullen Pease (Irondequoit) hurled two shutout innings in relief. DI Blue’s Jarod Signorelli (Victor) singled, drove in a run and scored another. Jared Drake (Fairport) singled and drove in a run. Noah Horn (Greece Athena) and Chris Alfaro (Edison Tech) scored a run apiece. DI Grey’s two losses have been by a combined three runs.

Gregory Romero (Monroe) and Walker Wright (Rush-Henrietta) delivered a big hit apiece as DII Orange put together back-to-back wins. Romero connected on a two-run triple in the third to stake Orange to a 4-0 lead. Wright stretched the advantage to seven with a bases-clearing triple an inning later. Jim Marasco (Webster Thomas) started, fanned five and allowed one hit over three shutout innings for the win. Korey Canton (Greece Odyssey) added a two-run inside-the-park home run in the sixth. Canton walked twice and scored two runs in the game. Evan Ziegelhofer (Webster Thomas) doubled and scored two runs in the game. Shane Harisis (Eastridge) collected a hit, a run scored and an RBI. Kevin Canton (Greece Odyssey) singled and scored. DI Green’s Logan Bush (Aquinas) finished 2-for-3 with a run scored. Wes Colucci (Churchville-Chili) singled and also scored a run. Casey Saucke II (Greece Athena) struck out two over a scoreless inning of relief.
Note: Starting with five games on Saturday, the Upstate Baseball League will shift to Basket Road for the remainder of its schedule. DI Orange and DI Red take the field at 9 AM Saturday. The UBL will welcome the Penfield Chiefs for pair of games at 4:30 and 7 PM.
