Saint Joseph’s guard Nick Robinson has requested and been granted a release to transfer from the Hawks’ program, it was announced by head coach Phil Martelli.

The 6-6 guard from Chicago played in 31 games last season as a sophomore, making 11 starts. He averaged 7.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, while shooting 46.3 percent from the field. Robinson, who received the Hawks’ Most Improved Player Award, shot 80.3 percent from the foul line. In the final seven games of the season, he averaged 14.1 points and 7.1 rebounds and converted 58 percent from the field.

“Family circumstances have caused Nick to make this move and we wish him the best in the future,” said Martelli.
