ROCHESTER – Sierra Green compiled 29 points, seven assists, six steals, and five rebounds to lead the MCC women’s basketball team to a 102-57 win over Mercyhurst North East Saturday afternoon.

The top-ranked Tribunes (12-0 WNYAC, 23-1 overall) opened a 20-point lead after the first quarter and were never threatened in notching their 21st straight victory.

Torrie Cash chipped in with 21 points eight boards, six assists, and five steals for Monroe. The Tribs had 27 assists on 37 made baskets, while the defense forced 30 turnovers.

Green finished with seven 3’s on the game to give her 112 for the season. That ties the single-season mark set by Ashley (McMillen) Socola in 2005.

Taliyah Brisco had a fine all-around game as well. The sophomore finished with 19 points, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Erica Abitante and Jaynelle Robinson tacked on 10 points apiece.
