STONE RIDGE, New York – The MCC men’s soccer team exploded for five second-half goals en route to a 5-1 victory over SUNY Ulster Sunday afternoon.
The win comes on the heels of a dramatic 3-2 win over Massasoit on Saturday to give the Tribunes (3-2-1) a sweep of their weekend road trip.
The Senators actually jumped out to the lead with a goal in the 18th minute and carried that advantage into the locker room. In fact, it was midway through the second half before the Tribunes began their assault.
Matt Murray got things started in the 65th minute to tie it up. James Weh then came through with the eventual game-winner.
Weh added another down the stretch, and Matt Englert and Kevin Kabongo also scored to provide the final margin. Englert tacked on two assists in the game while Kabongo, Jordan Sullivan, and Mewah Nyeayea had one apiece.
Michael Hunter made a pair of saves in the win.
