Jake Reed struck out two including the final out of the game over an an inning and two thirds to pick up the victory in the nightcap as the Rochester Red Wings split (1-2/3-2) with the Syracuse Chief in International League action at NBT Bank Stadium, Friday night.
Reed stranded to runners on base with final out for his first win of the season.
Leonardo Reginatto finished 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in the win.
Mitch Garver also went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored for Rochester (64-48).
J.B. Shuck worked a bases loaded walk in the seventh to bring home the winning run.
The Wings move within 3.5 games of Lehigh Valley (67-44) in the wildcard race. The IronPigs lost at Buffalo.
Rochester opens a seven-game home stand Monday when Columbus comes to Frontier Field for a 7:05 pm start.
