Spencerport 8 Middle TWP (NJ) 1
Raymond Richards allowed one run on six hits over eight innings, and Spencerport exploded in the eighth to rebound against Middletown at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
Steven Holko led off the eighth and reached on an error. After a Chris Carroll walk, Peter Mancuso put down a great bunt for a base hit up the third base line. Josh Brase got on base after being hit by a pitch. Richards hit a sacrifice fly, and Nick Bellone scored on an error by the shortstop.
Aidan Eldridge tied the game at 1-1 with an RBI single in the sixth to score Carroll.
Richards struck out four and earned his second win for the Rangers. The junior has a 2-0 record on the season and has only allowed three runs over his last two starts.
The Rangers had seven hits in the game with Eldridge, Bellone and Carroll each collecting multiple base raps.
Middletown beat Spencerport 13-0 on Saturday and threw their number one pitcher against the Rangers in Monday’s matchup. The big lefty, Glenn Wyatt, had a fantastic fastball and curveball. He held the Rangers scoreless through five.
The Rangers take on Mynderse Academy Tuesday at the ESPN Wide World of Sports. First pitch at 8:00 am in Champion Stadium.
St. John’s Jesuit (Toledo, OH) 4 Fairport 1 (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina)
Evan Newkirk finished 1-for-2 with a walk, and Tyler Holmes drove in the Red Raiders only run also going 1-for-2 with a walk. Trevor Povlock struck out five and allowed three earned runs over four innings. Fairport plays Start High (Toledo, OH) Tuesday morning.
Brighton 9 Huntington (West Virginia) 2
DJ Staszak finished 2-for-3 with a double, triple and two runs scored. Jack Falter went 2-for 3 with two doubles and three runs scored. Andrew Zibuck drove in a run going 2-for-3. Lucas Dorsey pitched 3.2 innings of no-hit relief to earn the save for the Barons. The Barons (3-1) take on South Charleston (West Virginia) Tuesday evening at 6 pm.
Greece Olympia 14 Monroe 1
Olympia’s Jason LoVullo produced another big day at the plate going 3-for-4 with three runs, three stolen bases, a walk and two RBI. Johnny Carson allowed three hits and struck out 12 over five shutout innings. Zack Wright, Jake Heberger and Jack Berbert all finished with multi-hit games for the Spartans. Olympia plays Waterloo on Tuesday at noon kicking off the East High tournament.

McQuaid 14 Mashpee (MA) 6 (Vero Beach, Florida)
Billy Kehrig continued his torrid hitting and paced a 14-hit attack going 3-for-4 with a double and a triple, three runs scored and two RBI. Thomas Manno and Nick Tomei added two hits apiece for the Jesuit Knights who scored four in the first inning and led 8-4 after three. Tomei scored three runs. Tyler Cyrus threw 78 pitches (55 strikes) in a complete-game effort. The senior hurler struck out five, walked none and allowed six runs (four earned) on nine hits. Kehrig collected seven hits in Sunday’s doubleheader.

Hiramil Hernandez had a double and an RBI for Aquinas.
