NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — George Mason’s Otis Livingston II, and St. Bonaventure’s Matt Mobley were named the Atlantic 10 Conference Men’s Basketball Co-Players of the Week while Rhode Island freshman Jeff Dowtin earned Rookie of the Week honors. The awards, announced Monday and presented by Come Ready Nutrition, are for games played Jan. 30– Feb. 5.
Livingston averaged 24 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists while shooting 75 percent from the floor (15-of-20) in two games for the Patriots this past week. The sophomore guard from Linden, N.J., also made 8-of-10 3-pointers (.800) and 10-of-11 free throws (.909). On Wednesday at Saint Louis, Livingston totaled a career-high 29 points and made 10-of-15 field goals while grabbing four rebounds in a double-overtime thriller. On Saturday in a win over La Salle, Livingston couldn’t miss, making 5-of-5 shots from the floor, 3-of-3 three-pointers and 6-of-6 shots from the free throw line. He finished with 19 points and dished out three assists in the contest.
Mobley, a junior guard from Worcester, Mass. averaged 28.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.0 steals and went 11-for-11 from the charity stripe in two games this past week. He set a school record with his nine 3-pointers against VCU. His 34 points against the Rams were a new career high. Mobley was 9-for-15 from deep in the game including the go-ahead shot with 0.4 seconds left in regulation. In St. Bonaventure’s win at Duquesne, his game-high 22 points included 14 in the second half as the Bonnies held on for the road win.
Dowtin averaged 14.5 points, 4.0 assists, and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 57.1 percent from the floor and 60 percent from 3-point range in a 2-0 week for Rhode Island. The freshman from Upper Marlboro, Md., earned his fifth and sixth starts of the season at point guard. Dowtin connected on 5-of-10 from the floor while dishing out four assists in 37 minutes of play against George Washington. The guard had the best game of his collegiate career at Davidson, pouring in 19 points (7-for-11 from the field and 3-for-4 from 3-point range) and four assists in 36 minutes.

Davidson’s Peyton Aldridge finished the week averaging 19.0 points and 10.5 rebounds, while shooting 51.9 percent from the floor, including an 8-for-8 effort at the charity stripe … Wildcat freshman Jon Axel Gudmundsson had a 14-point, seven-rebound performance in Davidson’s win at Saint Joseph’s and contributed another double-figure performance, with 10 points in the Wildcats’ setback to Rhode Island … Dayton’s Kendall Pollard scored a season-high 25 points at Fordham, making 8-of-11 from the field while also becoming Dayton’s 47th member of the Flyer 1,000 point club during the game … Fordham’s Antwoine Anderson hit his second buzzer-beater of the season on Saturday at Saint Joseph’s, burying a 3-pointer in double overtime to lead the Rams to an 86-83 win, finishing with 20 points, six assists, three rebounds and two steals … La Salle’s Jordan Price went 7-for-13 from the field and also added five assists in 36 minutes of action in a win over UMass … Rhode Island’s Hassan Martin averaged 16 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists while shooting 54.2% from the floor in a 2-0 week for the Rams … Richmond’s ShawnDre’ Jones averaged 23.5 points per game in a 1-1 week for the Spiders, pouring in a game-high 30 points in a loss at VCU, followed with 17 points in a win over GW … Saint Louis’ Mike Crawford tallied a career-high 24 points in a win against George Mason and scored the game winner on a buzzer beater in the second overtime, registering 8-of-12 in both games and shooting 66.7 percent from the field for the week … VCU’s Justin Tillman averaged 18 points, 10.5 rebounds while shooting 60.9 percent from the floor in a 2-0 week for the Rams, beating in-city rival Richmond and collecting a win at St. Bonaventure.
