ST. BONAVENTURE — For a brief moment, the St. Bonaventure men’s basketball team had its biggest win of the season. Matt Mobley was the hero, draining a step-back 3-pointer from the corner with just tenths of a second remaining to give the Bonnies a 66-65 lead and, seemingly, the game. A couple of seconds later, the scene would suggest as much: the red light around the backboard had lit up, the game clocks showed all zeros.
