NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Dayton’s Saicha Grant-Allen was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week while Richmond freshman Jaide Hinds-Clarke earned Rookie of the Week honors. The awards, announced Monday, were for games played Dec. 19–25.
Grant-Allen earned Florida Sunshine Classic All-Tournament Team honors after averaging a double-double in wins over Texas A&M and Old Dominion. The senior center from Hamilton, Ontario, averaged 14.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game over the Flyers 2-0 run in Florida. Against ODU she recorded a season-high performance of 17 points and 16 rebounds.
Hinds-Clarke recorded 10 points and seven rebounds for the Spiders last week in a win over Furman. The freshman from Westwood, N.J., has registered double-digit scoring efforts in three of her last five games. She now ranks fourth on the team in scoring and third in rebounding despite averaging just shy of 15 minutes per game.

Davidson’s Mackenzie Latt recorded her second double-double of the season with a personal-best 28 points and a season-high 14 rebounds in a loss to Charlotte…Duquesne’s Amadea Szamosi poured in a game-high 21 points on 6-of-13 shooting including 8-of-9 from the free throw line against No. 4/3 Maryland…Fordham’s G’Mrice Davis had 23 points, nine rebounds on 10-of-15 shooting from the field against Niagara, narrowly missing her sixth double-double of the season…George Mason’s Casey Davis had a career night with her first career double-double in Mason’s 68-64 overtime victory over Navy on Tuesday. Davis set career-highs with 16 points and 16 rebounds in the Patriots’ lone game of the week…Caira Washington averaged 12.0 points and 11.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Colonials. Against No. 14/14 Stanford, Washington had 10 points and 13 rebounds, followed with 14 points and 10 rebounds against Loyola (Md.)…Saint Louis’ Jackie Kemph scored 15 of her team-high 18 points in the second half of the Billikens’ first-ever win over Missouri, 72-61. She also had a game-high eight assists and a season-high six rebounds.
