Anthony Lamb (Greece Athena) earned America East Rookie for his career-high 26 point, eight-rebound performance to lead the Vermont Catamounts past Eastern Michigan, 82-74. Lamb hit 12 of 18 shots in 27 minutes of work. He he handed out an assist and blocked two shots. The honor was Lamb’s third of the season. He also claimed Rookie of the Week on November 14th and 28th. The 6-6 forward averages 11.4 points and 5.8 rebounds for the season. Vermont travels to play at No. 13 Butler on Wednesday. Emmitt Holt (Webster Schroeder) netted 11 points and corralled four boards in Providence’s 76-54 win over Wagner on Saturday. Holt chips in 13.4 and 5.4 a game for the Friars. Providence hosts Maine Tuesday night on Fox Sports 1. An 8:30 pm start is scheduled. Providence travels to meet Boston College on Friday. The 4 pm start can be seen on ESPNU.
Phil Valenti (Aquinas) accounted for 12 points as Canisius knocked off the University at Buffalo in overtime, 94-87 in Saturday’s Big 4 Classic played at Key Bank Center. Valenti and the Golden Griffins travel to Olean on Thursday to meet the St. Bonaventure Bonnies.
Dontay Caruthers (East High) handed out five assists and collected three steals in UB’s loss to Canisius. The 6-1 guard scored four points and grabbed two rebounds. UB travels to Pittsburgh to play Robert Morris on Wednesday.
Quinton Rose (Bishop Kearney) had eight points, two rebounds and an assist in Temple’s 68-63 victory over NJIT. He also had this (advance to the 50-second mark):

Rose and Temple host Yale on Thursday. The 7 pm start will be televised on ESPNU.
Antwoine Anderson (Fordham) scored 11 points and handed out seven assists in Fordham’s 68-53 loss to Rutgers. Anderson averages 10.9 points and 2.8 assists for the Rams. Fordham hosts Central Connecticut State on Wednesday.
Deyshonee Much (Gates-Chili) collected six points, six steals, six rebounds and five assists in his return from injury to help Iona beat NJIT, 94-80. Much had missed four of the previous five games.
Thomas Bryant (Indiana) averaged 14.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in two Indiana wins over the past three days. The 6-foot-10 sophomore scores 12. 4 a game and grabs 8.1 rebounds.
Tyler Stenglein (Irondequoit) averaged 21 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists to earn Empire 8 Player of the Week. Read more here.
Brian Fobbs (Bishop Kearney) averaged 12 points and six rebounds in three games over the weekend for Genesee Community College.
