Results from a light week in Atlantic 10 men’s basketball action. 

UMass 65 North Carolina A&T 59

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts men’s basketball trailed by as many as 18 points in the first half before the squad rallied for a 65-59 victory over North Carolina A&T in a Gotham Classic game at the Mullins Center on Tuesday. Donte Clark led the Minutemen to their comeback with 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting to go with six assists, four rebounds and a pair of blocks.

Luwane Pipkins joined Clark in double-figures with 11 points, which he complemented with five assists and a pair of steals. C.J. Anderson added nine points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals in 25 minutes.

It was the second-largest deficit overcome in the Derek Kellogg era to only the 77-67 victory over Rider on Nov. 12, 2010, during which the Minutemen trailed by 22 points. READ MORE.

George Mason 97 Longwood 60

FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason University men’s basketball team led by 20 at the half and never looked back en route to a 97-60 victory over visiting Longwood Monday night inside EagleBank Arena.

The victory extends the Patriots’ winning streak to eight games (its longest since 2010-11) and sends Mason into a 10-day competitive break sporting a 9-3 record. The 37-point victory marked the Patriots’ largest since a 41-point win (101-60) over UNC Wilmington on Jan. 3, 2009. READ MORE.

Saint Joseph’s 76 Princeton 68

PRINCETON, N.J. – Sophomore guard Lamarr Kimble scored 17 points, grabbed a career-high eight rebounds, and added nine assists as the Saint Joseph’s men’s basketball team came back from a late deficit to beat Princeton, 76-68, on Wednesday night at Jadwin Gym. READ MORE.
