Dayton 75 ETSU 61

DAYTON – The University of Dayton men’s basketball team (7-2) won its fifth straight game Saturday, defeating the East Tennessee State Buccaneers (7-2) at UD Arena Saturday afternoon by a final score of 75-61.

Charles Cooke led the way for Dayton, scoring 24 points while pulling down eight rebounds and blocking a career-high four shots. Kendall Pollard recorded his first start of the season, contributing a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. READ MORE.

George Mason 79 Penn 60

PHILADELPHIA – Behind the first ever triple-double from sensational senior Marquise Moore, the George Mason University men’s basketball team (8-3) won its seventh-straight game Saturday afternoon with a 79-60 victory over Penn inside the Palestra. READ MORE.

Duquesne 70 Central Connecticut 67

PITTSBURGH – Isiaha Mike’s 3-pointer with 15.9 seconds left proved to be the game-winner as Duquesne rallied from five points down with 1:34 remaining to defeat Central Connecticut State, 70-67, at Palumbo Center. READ MORE.

VCU 67 Old Dominion 64

Senior guard JeQuan Lewis scored 17 of his game-high 20 points in the second half, including 12 during a 16-1 VCU run to fuel the Rams come-from-behind victory at Old Dominion an intense match-up of bitter rivals. READ MORE.

Richmond 78 UMBC 75

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond (5-4) hit a season-high 24 free throws on 26 attempts to come back and defeat UMBC (7-2), 78-75, on Saturday night in the Robins Center. READ MORE.

George Washington 79 Howard 62

WASHINGTON — In a Saturday matinee at the Charles E. Smith Center, the George Washington men’s basketball team welcomed local foe Howard, and subsequently dismissed the Bison with a wire-to-wire 79-62 win. The Colonials improved to 7-4 on the season with the victory, while dropping Howard to 1-7. READ MORE. 

UNCW 81 St. Bonaventure 80 

St. Bonaventure’s win streak is over, but it wasn’t without a heck of a fight. Denzel Ingram made a fadeaway, 18-foot jumper from the baseline with two seconds left gave UNC Wilmington an 81-80 win at St. Bonaventure on Saturday. READ MORE.

Georgetown 93 La Salle 78

MIAMI – Senior Jordan Price had a team-high 23 points and junior B.J. Johnson added 19 for the La Salle University men’s basketball team (4-4), who saw Georgetown (6-4) break a 67-67 tie with a decisive 11-1 run to come away with a 93-78 win at the Hoophall Miami Invitational on Saturday. PHILADELPHIA – Shavar Newkirk converted the game-winning three-point play with 6.7 seconds to go, and scored Saint Joseph’s final 11 points, as the Hawks rallied to defeat Drexel, 72-71, at the Daskalaskis Center. READ MORE.

Mike Crawford and Elliott Welmer (4-of-8 FG) scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, to lead the SLU attack. Welmer added five rebounds, while Crawford grabbed four.READ MORE.
