Casey Hyer netted an unassisted goal less than 12 minutes into the match to give Bath-Haverling all the offense it needed. Ethan Buckley and Nick Strong added second-half tallies. The Rams advance to play N0. 2 Livonia in the Class B final Saturday at Avon. Livonia knocked off Bath-Haverling in last year’s B1 semi-finals. Thomas Binkowski and Matthew Binkowski collected assists for Bath which last won a sectional title in 2011 – the last of five straight sectional championships the Rams won or shared. Bath has won six straight games. Their last loss came to Livonia, 3-1.
No. 2 Livonia 3 No. 3 Mynderse 0
Mark Brado scored twice to lead Livonia to its sixth straight appearance in a Section Five final. The Bulldogs have won or shared six consecutive championships. Kyle Feldman added a second-half tally while Troy Rossborough picked up two assists, and Jake Vandewalker added a helper. Livonia will meet Bath-Haverling in Saturday’s final. A 7 p.m. start is scheduled at Avon High School. Livonia beat Pal-Mac, 3-0 in last year’s final. The Bulldogs downed Bath-Haverling, 3-0 in the 2014 Class B final.
Class C1
No. 1 World of Inquiry 1 No. 4 Holley 0
Toyi Hakizimana scored the game winner in the 60th minute with an assist from Jaivaughn Killings. WOI advanced to meet No. 2 Byron-Bergen/Elba in Saturday’s final at Avon. WOI beat Byron-Bergen/Elba, 6-0 in last year’s Class C1 semi-final. The Griffins are looking for their third straight Section Five title. A 5 p.m. start time is scheduled Saturday.
No. 2 Byron-Bergen/Elba 1 No. 3 Williamson 0 OT
Ryan Richardson scored in the second overtime to send the Lancers to their first appearance since 2006 when they won the Class B championship. Byron-Bergen won five of six sectional titles from 2001-2006. Byron-Bergen/Elba plays WOI Saturday at Avon High School. A 5 p.m. start is scheduled.
Class C2
No. 1 Keshequa 4 No. 4 Warsaw 1
Damon Rathbun netted a hat trick to send Keshequa to the finals for the second time in three years. Rathbun scored in the 17th minute before connecting on a pair of second-half tallies. Dustyn Zangerle added Keshequa’s fourth goal. Connor Mann collected two assists. Journey Boss added one helper. Keshequa will meet No. 3 Marion in the Class C2 final Saturday at Avon High School. Keshequa won the 2014 C2 championship. A 2 p.m. start time is slated.
No. 3 Marion 3 No. 7 Campbell-Savona 0
Marion advanced to Saturday’s final against No. 1 Keshequa. Marion will be looking to win its first boys’ soccer since 2010 when the Black Knights took the Class C crown.
