Niagara falls to Boston College

BOSTON, Mass. – The Niagara baseball team fell to the Boston College Eagles (29-18), 9-3, in the final game of a two-game series on Sunday.

All three of the Purple Eagles’ (16-32-1) runs came in the top of the first inning. With bases loaded, Owen Dziados doubled to left field, scoring Greg Rodgers, Michael Fuhrman and Greg Cullen and earning a team-high three RBIs.

At the plate, Cullen, Dziados, Hayden Coll and Darian Blanks each had one hit. Blanks and Coll also each had one double and Blanks and Fuhrman had one stolen base each. On the mound, Tyler Howard (1-1) struck out four batters in 2.0 innings pitched.

The Purple Eagles close out their non-conference schedule when they host Buffalo in a doubleheader on Tuesday, May 17.
