Dayton and VCU closed the regular season with an overtime game that wasn’t decided until a final second 3-point attempt missed the target. The Atlantic 10 tournament figures to hold just as much drama.

St. Bonaventure shared the conference title with Dayton and VCU. With five straight wins, Bona has the A-10’s longest streak. Fordham follows with four.

VCU defeated Dayton in last year’s final. The Rams have advanced to championship Sunday each of the last three years. Saint Joseph’s won in 2014 title with Saint Louis winning 2013, and the Bonnies captured the school’s only title in 2012.

Some have suggested five A-10 teams will punch dance tickets. Before scoffing, consider fifth-place George Washington has beaten then No. 6 Virginia, Seton Hall and Tennessee among other teams.

Davidson’s Jack Gibbs (24.8) leads the league in scoring. SBU’s Marcus Posley (19.3) follows. George Mason’s Shevon Thompson grabs a league-leading 10.5 rebounds. Fordham’s Ryan Rhoomes tops the charts with a field-goal percentage of 64.9 (7th in the nation). CLICK HERE FOR FULL CONFERENCE STATISTICS.

George Mason and Saint Louis will tip off the tournament Wednesday night at the Barclays Center.
