Atlantic 10 men’s basketball closed the regular season with seven games on Saturday. Here’s the rundown:
St. Bonaventure 76 Saint Louis 67
The Bonnies led for all but 53 seconds of the game but the outcome was in doubt until late. It was a 67-61 lead with 3:42 left, but Marcus Posley made a three-pointer from the wing at the 2:34 mark to give the Bonnies some breathing room.
Led by Jaylen Adams, the Bonnies went 9-18 from three-point range. Adams was 4-8 and led all scorers with 23 points. Posley added 18 and Dion Wright had 16 points and eight rebounds.
St. Bonaventure’s 22 wins are tied for the most ever in a regular season in the program’s storied history. READ MORE.

Dayton 68 VCU 67 OT
While the seniors were the ones being honored before the game, once the ball was tipped, it quickly became the Scoochie Smith show. While the Rams started off red hot from three, nailing their first three attempts from behind the arc and taking a 9-0 lead within the first two minutes of game action. READ MORE.

Davidson 87 George Washington 80
In addition to hitting the 30-point plateau for the 10th time this season, Gibbs finished 11-of-23 from the floor, 8-of-10 at the free-throw line and had a career-high six steals. READ MORE.

George Mason 83 Richmond 73
Freshman Otis Livingston II tied his career-high of 21 points, while seniors Shevon Thompson and Marko Gujanicic added 16 points and 15 points, respectively, playing in their final home game. Thompson finished with a double-double behind 17 rebounds, two shy of his career-high. READ MORE.

Fordham 64 Rhode Island 61
Bronx, N.Y. – On the day before Laetare Sunday, Fordham University senior Ryan Rhoomes and sophomore Antwoine Anderson gave the home fans plenty to rejoice about as Rhoomes notched his third straight double-double in his last regular season game in the Rose Hill Gym and Anderson hit the game-winner with three seconds remaining, leading Fordham to a 64-61 win over Rhode Island. Duquesne 78 Saint Joseph’s 70
Micah Mason scored 28 points and Derrick Colter fell two rebounds shy of a triple-double with 18 points, to go along with career high-tying efforts for rebounds (8) and assists (11) to lead Duquesne (16-15, 6-12) to a 78-70 win over Saint Joseph’s (24-7, 13-5) in front of a sellout Senior Day crowd at SJU’s Hagan Arena. UMass 69 La Salle 52
Senior guard Trey Davis posted his third career double-double and second of the season with a 27-point, 12-rebound effort that secured the University of Massachusetts men’s basketball team a 69-52 victory over La Salle during 2016 Senior Night at the Mullins Center Saturday. Davis finished 8-for-15 from the floor, including 4-of-8 from beyond the arc while he shot 7-of-7 at the foul line. He added four steals and three assists without a turnover in 35 minutes on the court. READ MORE.
