This weekend’s action in Atlantic 10 men’s basketball.
St. Bonaventure 85 UMass 83
Another game with so much at stake, another last-second finish … another St. Bonaventure win.
In a season full of heart-stopping games, the Bonnies came out on the winning side yet again Saturday, prevailing 85-83 over Massachusetts. All it took was a comeback from an 18-point deficit and a last-second replay to overturn a potential game-winning shot by UMass. Donte Clark made a desperation three-pointer but, after a replay, the ball was ruled to have been in his hand after time elapsed.
St. Bonaventure now has 20 wins for the first time since 2011-12 and the first 20-win regular season since 1976-77. The Bonnies also won their 12th Atlantic 10 game (12-4), which is a program record. They also clinched a top-four finish in the A-10 and a bye into the quarterfinals of the A-10 Championship tournament. READ MORE.
