Justin Robinson, Monmouth

Robinson scored a career-high 36 points at Siena on Monday, becoming the sixth Hawk ever to top that amount in a game in Monmouth’s 93-87 win. It was a career-best for the junior, scoring 23 of his 36 in the first half. He was 10-19 from the floor and 4-7 from deep along with a perfect 12-12 from the foul line. He also pitched in five rebounds, three assists and three steals. His strong week continued Friday night against Fairfield, scoring 12 points while also contributing nine rebounds, five assists, and three more steals. For the week, Robinson averaged 24.0 ppg while shooting 44% and 44% from deep, 93% from the foul line with 14 boards, eight assists and six steals in two wins.
MAAC Rookie of the Week
Andrew Robinson, Quinnipiac
Fr., G, 6-6, 210, Takoma Park, MD/Putnam Science Academy/Springbrook
Robinson had a breakout game for the Bobcats, hitting five three-pointers in the first half to stake Quinnipiac to a 47-25 halftime lead in a 79-53 win over Marist on Thursday. Robinson finished the game shooting 5-9 on threes to score a game-high 15 points, after coming into the evening averaging 1.4 points per game. Robinson’s previous high was 10 points at Oregon State, while he had a combined 22 points on the entire season coming in, before scoring 15 in one half.
