Adams, Wright lead Bonnies to win at Saint Joseph’s

Four games in the Atlantic 10 on Wednesday night.

St. Bonaventure 83 Saint Joseph’s 73

St. Bonaventure got its most impressive win of the season Wednesday night in Philadelphia, topping Saint Joseph’s 83-73 behind a career-high 31 points from sophomore point guard Jaylen Adams.

On the home court of the Atlantic 10’s best defensive team, the Bonnies opened a 78-60 lead with 3:57 left on the strength of a 17-4 run. Adams drained three three-pointers in the decisive surge.

St. Bonaventure made a season high 13 three-pointers (of 34) and was 14-15 at the free throw line. Dion Wright recorded his 10th double-double of the season with 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Idris Taqqee scored a career best 13 points. READ MORE.

VCU 88 La Salle 70

Senior Melvin Johnson erupted eight 3-pointers and scored 30 points as VCU cruised to its 12th straight victory with an 88-70 triumph over La Salle Wednesday night at Tom Gola Arena. READ MORE.

George Washington 79 Davidson 69

WASHINGTON — Patricio Garino scored 17 points, Tyler Cavanaugh added 16 and the George Washington men’s basketball team downed Davidson 79-69 Wednesday night at the Charles E. Smith Center. READ MORE.

George Mason 78 Richmond 74

George Mason held off a late rally from Richmond Wednesday night to come away with a 78-74 victory in the Robins Center. The win marked Mason’s first triumph at Richmond since January 2000 as four Patriots scored in double-figures led by Jaire Grayer with 20 points. READ MORE.
