NEW YORK – Senior forward Briana Glover was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday afternoon, collecting the honors for the fourth time this season.
Xavier has had a player earn the weekly honors seven times this year. Raeshaun Gaffney (Jan. 4) and Aliyah Zantt (Dec. 28,Nov. 23) have also been recognized. Glover also earned the honors on Dec. 7, Dec. 14 and Jan. 11.
The Mason, Ohio, native averaged nine points per game last week and was 9-for-10 from the foul line. She scored 10 points at Seton Hall on Friday before adding eight on Sunday at St. John’s.
Glover became the 24th member of the Xavier 1,000-point club against the Red Storm with a layup late in the second half. She now has 1,001 career points.
Glover ranks second on the team in scoring (11.6 ppg), while adding 4.2 rebounds per game. She also leads the BIG EAST in free-throw percentage (.853) and ranks fourth in field-goal percentage (.503).
Glover and the Musketeers return to action on Friday, Jan. 29 against Butler. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. from Cintas Center.
