Heading in to the stretch run of non-conference play with a full slate of  contests this weekend. Here is what’s on tap in the Atlantic 10:

Saturday

Rutgers (4-5) at George Washington (8-1) 4:30 p.m. CBS Sports Network

George Washington’s Colonials look to take two straight against the Big Ten and and three overall when they welcome the Scarlet Knights to Foggy Bottom. GW ranks top ten nationally with a free throw rate (number of points scored from the free throw line per possession) of 24.8. Tyler Cavanaugh leads three in double figures and has scored 10 or more in all nine Colonial games. Corey Sanders scores 13.3 per game for Rutgers while handing out four assists.

Sunday

Rhode Island (6-3) at Nebraska (6-4) 2 p.m. ESPN3

Can defense travel? That will be the question Rhode Island needs to answer. URI ranks 12th in the nation holding opponents under 60 points per game. Nebraska averages 75. The Rams 3-point defense limits opposing shooters to 28 percent. Nebraska’s Andrew White averages nearly three triples per outing. Five Rams score in double figures. Hassan Martin leads the way with 11.8 per game. White paces the Huskers with 17.5

Saint Joseph’s (6-2) at Temple (4-4) 4 p.m. CBS Sports Network

First of two Philly Big 5 meetings on the day. Isaiah Miles dropped 20 and grabbed nine rebounds a year ago when Saint Joseph’s trimmed Temple by two. The Hawks have won two straight since falling to then No. 8 Villanova. Quenton DeCosey scored 22 last time out when Temple’s Owls knocked off Penn.

La Salle (4-3) at No. 9/6 Villanova (7-1) 5 p.m. Fox Sports 1

Jordan Price and La Salle round out the weekend with the second Big 5 tilt of the day. Price and the Explorers look to snap a two-game skid against Ryan Arcidiacono‘s Wildcats. This is the first of two straight against ranked teams for La Salle which will play No. 17 Miami on December 22nd. Villanova is coming off a 23-point beatdown at the hands of No. 7 Oklahoma Monday night in the Pearl Harbor Invitational in Honolulu.
