Busy weekend ahead as Atlantic 10 teams square off against Power 5 schools. Here’s the rundown:

Friday

Richmond (3-2) vs. No. 14/13 California (4-1) 8 pm Fox Sports1

Both teams are coming off a loss: Richmond to West Virginia (67-59) and Cal to San Diego State (72-58). Terry Allen nets nearly 20 a game for UR. Tyrone Wallace leads four Bears in double figures with 19.4 ppg.

George Washington (5-0) vs. Tennessee (4-1) 9 pm ASN/ESPN3

This will be the first of four straight games against schools from Power 5 conferences for Mike Lonergan’s Colonials. Earlier this season, GW defeated then No. 6 Virginia. Patricio Garino averages 17. 4 for G-Dub squad which is scoring more than 83 per game. Rick Barnes Vols have won three straight, and their only setback came on the road to Georgia Tech by two.

Dayton vs. Monmouth 9:30 pm ESPN2

A date in Sunday’s 2015 Advocare Invitational championship is at stake. First Dayton’s Flyers will have to stop Justin Robinson and the Hawks who knocked Notre Dame, Thanksgiving night. Robinson scored 19 of his game-high 22 in the second half as Monmouth defeated a ranked opponent for the first time in program history. Dayton’s Kyle Davis is one of the best perimeter defenders in the country and figures to draw the assignment of slowing the 5-8 Robinson.

Saturday

Jim Crews and his Billikens will take a step up in competition when they meet the Cardinals. Ash Yacoubou scored 20 as SLU won last time over the North Florida Ospreys, 70-57. Damion Lee netted 24 when UL thumped the Ospreys, 89-61.
