Dilts and Schlimm (Olean) key Bona victory
The St. Bonaventure baseball team made its presence known on Tuesday, April 7 at Niagara, as the Bonnies jumped out to an early four-run lead after the top of the first inning. Junior infielder Thad Johnson got things started for the Brown and White with a single to right field. St. Bonaventure’s next five hitters each recorded a hit of their own, including a double for Ted Dilts and three singles for Dylan Dunn, Tyler Bell and Tyler Walter, which all resulted in runs for the Bonnies. The opener saw Pisik improve to 4-0 with a seven strikeout, one walk, five-hit performance. The Bears gave him all the offense he would need in the fourth as sophomore designated hitter Austin Feuerman (Columbia, Md./Atholton) homered to right field scoring junior first baseman Christopher Jablonski (Galloway, N.J./St. Augustine Prep) who reached on an error. Serrano (Cortland) brings homs two in LIU loss
Sophomore Charlie Misiano led LIU at the plate, going 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored, while Tommy Jakubowski went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, an RBI and a run scored. Juniors John Serrano and Brian Lamboy combined for four of LIU’s RBI in the loss. Read more…

Greathouse (Niagara) keys doubleheader sweep
Hitting and pitching – the two key components to a successful baseball team. On Saturday afternoon, the Defenders got both of those components down as they won their first two games of the season, defeating the University of Valley Forge 11-3, and 5-3. Joe and Nick Chupick combined for half of the team’s RBIs. Meanwhile, Coach Canazon got a 9 strikeout effort in the first game from BJ Greathouse (Batavia, NY) and Andrew McCrillis (Meadville, PA) gave up just 3 hits in game two. Read more...

Leonard (Rochester) tosses three-hit shutout
The Lancaster Bible baseball team is so young that of course a freshman would lead the Chargers to their most important win of the young season as Zack Leonard pitched a three-hit shutout in game two of a doubleheader at Gallaudet to help Lancaster Bible earn a split at Hoy Field in Washington, D.C. The doubleheader split moves the Chargers to 5-9 overall this season and 1-1 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play, while the Bison drop to 3-15 overall and 1-1 in conference play. Read more…
Kash (Cortland) doubles home two in Mansfield sweep
In game one, Mansfield got runners aboard in the top of the first with an Eric Schanzenbacher walk and Anthony Renz hit-by-pitch.Zephan Kash followed with a double to centerfield to score both and give the Mounties an early lead. Read more…
Saenz (Oneonta) collects four hits and four RBI
The win, which gave the Lopes the weekend sweep of the Broncs, improved their overall record to 18-14, 7-1 in the Western Athletic Conference. They remain a half-game behind Seattle U for the top spot in the conference standings. UTPA fell to 11-18, 0-9 in the league.
The Antelopes knocked out 16 hits, their second-highest output of the season (28 on Feb. 15 vs. Bradley). Greg Saenz led the Lopes with four hits and went 7-for-10 over the past two games. He also had four RBI today. Read more…

Clarion finally went ahead for good with a four-run fourth that somehow didn’t feature a home run but did see run scoring doubles by Lockhart and Matt Kamenicky, with Kamenicky’s driving home two runs. Joey Lopez also had a sacrifice fly in the inning on a ball that was dropped by the IUP centerfielder, one of two dropped fly balls by the Crimson Hawks in the inning. Read more…

Indiana took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second inning on a two run homer to left field. SHU cut the lead in half with a run in the fourth. Cody Herald doubled to lead off the inning and moved to third on a single from Adam Ferita. Herald scored on a RBI groundout from Zac Heide. Stagani struck out 5 and didn’t walk a batter with 17 of his 21 outs coming via groundout or strikeout. Busby had 3 singles and drove in a run while Pierro and Jon-Michael Brunner each weighed in with a double, single and RBI. LYNDHURST, N.J. – Senior Matthew Facendo (Hazlet, N.J./Raritan)pitched three innings of scoreless relief and freshman Bruce Strickland(Hazlet, N.J./Raritan) knocked in the go-ahead run as Felician College earned a 3-2 Game 2 victory and a sweep of its Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference baseball doubleheader with visiting Philadelphia University on Thursday afternoon at the Lyndhurst Recreation Complex. Whiteman (Syracuse Jr. Chiefs) hurls six shutout in win
Whiteman continued UMES’ potent pitching performance in the second billing, shutting down the Eagles offense from the first pitch. Only three Coppin batsmen reached base in the first four innings, all via walks and errors. Their first hit would not come until the fifth frame, and they would claim just three hits in the seven inning affair. Dan Crozier (Ballston, N.Y.) has been chosen as the NEAC Baseball Player of the Week after a superb week for the Cazenovia College Wildcats. The sophomore accounted for nine of Cazenovia’s 12 runs during a doubleheader with Lancaster Bible College Saturday to help the Wildcats earn the sweep over the Chargers. Read more...

Edwards (Olean) homers in UB loss
The Bulls responded in the sixth inning with a pair of runs on Eddie Edwards’ first career home run to center field. Kwitzer started the two-out rally with a triple down the right field line and Edwards connected on a deep shot to center that the center fielder was not able to track down. Edwards was able to race around the bases and collect his first career inside-the-park homer, giving UB the 3-1 lead. Read more…

Maryville recaptured the lead with a pair of runs in the bottom of the third. Austin Watters recorded his third RBI of the day with a single just inside the right field line scoring Nick Dean who led off the inning with a walk. Metcalfe goes deep in Bellarmine sweep
The hits were largely spread around amongst the Knights. Senior center fielder Austin Crutcher blasted a home run in each game to raise his season total to three. Junior third baseman Cole Metcalfe also went deep for BU in the opener, while sophomore first baseman Nick Wright and freshman catcher Brady Pfaadt tagged the wall with doubles in the tail end.
