1. Jack Gibbs (Davidson) Davidson blew up the scoreboard this week, and Gibbs was a huge factor on both sides of the ball with 32 points in the conference opener and averaging 4.8 assists on the year.
2. Treveon Graham (VCU) Graham continues to be a force on offense and he averages nearly a double-double per game with over 16 points and over 6 boards per game.
3. Hassan Martin (Rhode Island) Moving up a spot from last week’s rankings, Martin is proving himself as one of the most valuable assets to the Rhode Island squad, as he’s among the leaders with blocks per game, efficiency, and true shooting percentage.
4. E.C. Matthews (Rhode Island) Scoring is important, defense is important, winning is important. Matthews alongside teammate Martin will prove to be a dominant force in the conference throughout the season.
5. Kendall Anthony (Richmond) Though losing their first conference game, Anthony is still flashing the scoreboard with plenty of offense to put him among the leaders field goal percentage, points per game, and second in the conference with total points.
6. Tyler Kalinoski (Davidson) A grinder on offense and defense, he finds a way to get the job done. He shoots and creates points as well as anyone. Kalinoski and Gibbs make up a deadly duo of a backcourt for any defense or offense to face.
7. Youssou Ndoye (St. Bonaventure) With conference play starting, it’s still not any easier to get by this man in the paint. His blocking and rebounding ability is unmatched by virtually anyone in this conference, not to mention his hustle and effort to fight for the ball every possession.
8. Jordan Price (La Salle) Still the leader in points (245) and second in points per game (17.5), but turnovers will definitely put a damper on individual and team statuses, as he’s the leader of that as well with 45.
9. Kevin Larsen (George Washington) He’s on the leader board for offensive, defensive, and total win shares, and he will need to keep up his defensive efforts and paint presence in order for George Washington to have success.
10. Dyshawn Pierre (Dayton) Hustle, 110% effort, and the courage for one to sacrifice himself for his teammates are admirable traits. Pierre is that guy who will be the first one to dive for the ball, take a charge, and do whatever he can for the rebound and bucket. Underrated, but you’ll hear more from him as Dayton shows more success.
