**** Welcome to the Pickin’ Splinter’s Who am I for A-10 women’s basketball. Each week we will highlight an A-10 player or coach past or present. Your mission should you choose to accept will be to take the set of clues and figure out who the player/coach is.  The ground rules are simple. First and foremost try this without research. Release your inner James Joyce and show us your stream of consciousness as you decipher the answer. Add to that the teachings of Myagi: patience. If you don’t get the answer right away, give your brain a chance to work if for no other reason than to stay in the discussion. You may not have THE answer, but you might prompt another reader by asking the right question. Good luck!

To figure out who I am, you had better be willing to explore, not just search for me.  Way back in the colonial days when I was playing my college basketball – okay maybe not that long ago –   I was a three time All Atlantic first team selection.  During my four years, I average 12.7 points per game and 6.6 rebounds. I finished 11th on my school’s all-time scoring list with 1,475 points and 7th on the all-time rebounding list with 770 rebounds.  During my college career you didn’t dare take the ball to the rim as I had 161 blocks, good for 5th all-time. I controlled the paint.  As a team we made 3 trips to the NCAA tournament, with the exception being my senior year.  In my sophomore year, I had a double-double against Boise State during the tournament.

Still not sure who I am? Here is one last hint: after college I was drafted by the Phoenix Mercury, but unfortunately things didn’t quite work out. Fortunately for me,  I caught on with the Minnesota Lynx and have been with them since.

Who am I?

Happy Holidays everyone!
