ST. LOUIS – Sean Duff (St. Louis, Mo./St. Francis Borgia), a junior guard, has been added to the Saint Louis men’s basketball roster as a walk-on.
Duff began his collegiate career as a walk-on at Drake in 2009-10 before playing at Moberly Community College during the fall 2010 semester. He is in his second academic year at Saint Louis.
An All-Conference performer his sophomore and junior seasons at Westminster Christian Academy in St. Louis, Duff transferred to St. Francis Borgia his senior year and helped the Knights capture the 2009 Missouri Class 4A state championship. He averaged 9.7 ppg as a senior. In his four-year prep career, Duff scored 1,193 points.
The 6-foot-2 Duff was nominated to the 2009 McDonald’s All-American Basketball Team. In addition, he won the 3-point contest in the Missouri/Illinois Riverwar All-Star game and was the co-MVP of the 2009 Battle for the Rankings Showcase in St. Louis. Duff’s uncle, John Duff, was a four-year letterwinner for the Billikens from 1988-91, appearing in 96 games during that span.
Duff becomes the second walk-on on the SLU roster, joining guard Joey LePak (Cedarburg, Wis./Cedarburg).
