The Harding duo of Matt Calhoun and Tyler Stanford each picked up doubles while pitchers Aaron Benton (St. John Fisher), Jake Brandenberger (Flagler), and Matt Danton (Texas A&M Corpus Christi) collected singles.
The Dodgers used six pitchers in the contest and registered 10 strikeouts.
Hornell has Thursday off before hosting Game one of the Western Division semifinals on Friday vs. #4 Geneva. First pitch is slated for 7 p.m. at Maple City Park.
In other NYCBL action on Wednesday, Niagara defeated Olean 8-7 to seal the #2 seed in the West. Niagara and Olean will battle in the other semifinal series beginning at Sal Maglie on Friday.
News: During the contest the Dodgers honored long time play by play announcer Frank Williams. Williams has been the team’s play by play man for years and is a huge asset to the franchise and the NYCBL.
