**** Welcome to the Pickin’ Splinter’s Who am I for A-10 women’s basketball. Each week we will highlight an A-10 player or coach past or present. Your mission should you choose to accept will be to take the set of clues and figure out who the player/coach is. Now let’s lay the ground rules for this exercise. First and foremost try this without research. Release your inner James Joyce and show us your stream of consciousness as you decipher the answer. Add to that the teachings of Myagi: patience. If you don’t get the answer right away, give your brain a chance to work if for no other reason than to stay in the discussion. You may not have THE answer, but you might prompt another reader by asking the right question. Good luck!
Happy Holidays everyone!! Now if you are going to figure out who I am, you should start with one of the smallest states on the East Coast and heading South to my school. My earliest memory of having a basketball in my hands was at the age of 7. Once I got to college, I was a scoring machine. In my freshman year, I averaged 14.0 points per game and was name to the All-Rookie team. In my 4 years I averaged 16.2 points per game and scored 2,042 points for my career. Both were good for second all-time at my school. On the defensive side I tormented our opponents, racking up 295 steals. My prowess on defense led to 3 Atlantic 10 All-Defensive Teams. All in all, I was All-Conference First Team 3 times, and All-Academic team in my senior year. I list my favorite basketball players as Derrick Rose, Chris Paul and Kevin Anderson. Currently I am playing overseas and hope to play in the WNBA in the near future. But if basketball doesn’t work out, there is always Hollywood.
