ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Redshirt junior forward Marquise Simmons of the St. Bonaventure men’s basketball team suffered a torn right Achilles tendon in Friday night’s season-opening victory over Cornell and will not return this season.
Simmons played just two minutes in the Bonnies’ 79-58 win over Cornell and suffered the injury while driving toward the basket during the first half. After being fouled, a clearly-injured Simmons made both of his free throw attempts before leaving the game.
