ST. LOUIS – In honor of Veterans Day, the Saint Louis University department of athletics is offering free admission to military personnel (active or retired) for Friday’s men’s basketball game against Tennessee State. Tip off at Chaifetz Arena is scheduled for 8 p.m.
With a valid ID, military personnel can receive their free ticket in advance by visiting the Chaifetz Arena Box Office between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. today through Friday. They also may receive a free ticket at the box office prior to the game. Military personnel can purchase additional tickets for just $10 apiece.
Also on Friday, the Billikens will recognize two representatives of the Wounded Warriors Project prior to the game. The Wounded Warriors Project is a nationwide effort to honor and empower injured servicemen and servicewomen.
The 207th Air Force ROTC Detachment at Saint Louis University will present the colors during the National Anthem, which will be performed by a member of the ROTC.
CAMPUS KITCHEN FOOD DRIVE ALSO SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY NIGHT
Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to Friday’s game, which will be collected by members of Campus Kitchen and the Student-Athlete Advisory Council in the concourse. Specific items needed include cooking oil, flour, sugar and canned meats.
