I’m just curious because outside at the moment IT”S SNOWING and it reminds me when I lived in NYC and the Yankee opener was full of snow. I know because I saw pictures from where I was working.
This is all my fault. I actually considered running Sta-Bil through the snow blower last weekend. I jinxed it. I should have known better than to think wintry mixes were behind us.

Well don’t be too hard on yourself Casey. It’s a life experience thing. You’ll learn to run the snowblower every month around these parts. I got some spare voodoo dolls and dreamcatchers I can let you have too. They come in handy, but I can’t tell you what for on an open forum.
But I hope he’s right for my sake but wrong for yours 😉

Holy crap !!! Are the Red Sox that loaded???? Something like 33 out of 45 ESPN “experts” predict that the Bosox will win the 2011 World Series. Take a look:
I saw that earlier, Wally. I would have at least expected as many of them to pick the Phillies, and a couple to pick the Yankees. Not 1 out of 45 picked the Yankees to win the World Series…which begs the question: if you could predict that the Yankees would make a mid-season trade for Felix Hernandez, how would that change your perspective?
I’m not predicting that’s going to happen, but I would have expected some of these guys to figure the Yankees are going to do something with their starting pitching that’s going to make them look that much more dangerous. Especially considering they have a better bullpen than the Red Sox, and the lineups are a tossup.
Just some food for thought. I was actually more surprised that 45 out of 45 picked the Red Sox to win the division. And people were scoffing earlier this year at the notion the Yankees are underdogs?
I am with Rey.. I am going with the 2011 Cleveland Indians.. 🙂
I am surprised and not surprised that everyone is picking the Red Sox. Big off season acquisitions and the return of 3 starters that missed a good chunk of last year.
That being said, I find it hard to believe that no one picked the Yankees. There isn’t that much difference between the Red Sox and the Yankees.
Is it true they have heated seats at Progressive Field?

If they were truly progressive, they would.

Is it true that they have taken ALL seats out of US Cellular Field, thereby guaranteeing that every game is “standing room only”!

If the WhiteSox keep pounding the ball like they did yesterday, they won’t have to do that to get capacity crowds.
Leaving around noon for Reliant Stadium and pre-game Final Four festivities with Crash, my brother Steve and other friend Joey. VCU and Butler face off at 5:00. We were at Spurs vs Rockets last night … Rockets won in OT.

Hey, a little call for help from the Pinesters. If you go to this link: http://www.dabwaha.com , you will find literature’s version of the Final Four. If you are so inclined, please go to that site and vote for Julie James. Julie is a friend of my daughter Maria. In the book before the one currently in the vote I was honored to be mentioned in the “acknowledgements” as Julie’s “New York consigliere”. You have until 9PM CST to help Julie win the semifinal round. As of now she is close but trailing. Thanks for helping a friend.
Hey does baseball start today?
Baseball? What’s baseball?

I sure wish I had a snowblower this year.
WHAT are you guys talking about?? Snow?? What’s that?? Sunny and 60 down here.
Of course baseball starts today, but only in a handful of cities: NYY, Washington, Cinci, KC, St Louis, and LAD.
Cleveland Indians = 2011 World Series Champions. I’m almost 100% sure of it.
Rey … not so fast, my friend! Here’s one long-time baseball scribe’s view of the AL Central in 2011:

I’m encouraged that there’s a lotta love for my ChiSox, who are often picked to win the AL Central and some dreamer even picked ’em to win it all. 😉

I think Rey was joking.

Voted.
Thank you. She has narrowed the gap considerably in the past few hours.
Voted, sir.
Julie came from behind to win. Thank you to all who voted. The finals are today and tomorrow. Feel free to vote again.
