What’s your thought on tonight’s 1st round matchup between Bona’s and LaSalle? Winner will have a tough game against Temple.
Casey says
Chris – thanks for chiming in.
The Bonnies beat the Explorers 82-61 a month ago. The game wasn’t even that close. BUT, as we all know, single elimination can do strange things to players and teams. The Bonnies do have the experience of last year’s first round win over Duquesne. Nicholson had an other-worldly performance on Saturday. Don’t be surprised if he has a letdown this evening. BUT the Bonnies have shown that other guys can take over a game. Conger was a non-factor for much of the win over Rhode Island (Saturday).
Unfortunately, the student are on Spring break. The Reilly Center might not be as loud tonight.
Still waiting to see La Salle’s Aaric Murray put together a complete game.
As for Temple, we’ll leave that until later. 🙂
Beh says
Do we have a pick for tonight?
Casey says
Ah boy….tough to separate heart from head on this one. 🙂
Smitty says
Something tells me that while T.J. McConnell is rookie of the year this year – we are going to see his name under A-10 player of the year in the next 3 years. That good of a point guard and when you can influence a game like he does with his 3:1 assist to turnover ratio – he will be in the conversation soon.
Casey says
No doubt it is going to be enjoyable watching McConnell watching over the next three years. But the A10 freshman class in general is more than worth watching.
