Last season was one of combined disappointment for the Pac-10. The entire conference seemingly stumbled through the months of November and December.  From out of the rubble came Lorenzo Romar’s Washington Huskies. With Quincy Pondexter leading the way, the Huskies  bowed out of the tournament in the third round.

Washington, and the entire Pac-10 will look to build from there.

Isaiah Thomas can score in bunches the 5’9″ guard led Washington with 65 three-pointers. The native of Tacoma, Washington can put the ball on the deck and create shots for himself. He will need to improve on his 33 percent accuracy from long range if the Huskies are to be successful.

The Huskies will look to Matthew Bryan-Amaning and 7-foot junior college transfer, Aziz N’Diaye, for production in the paint.

Abdul Gaddy brings experience at point guard. The sophomore struggled at times last year, but the Hskies will need him to grow from those trials.

Venoy Overton is the team’s best perimeter defender.

Freshmen, Antoine Hosley, Terrence and Desmond Simmmons will compete for playing time.
