Now that TLarner has completed his terrific research and analysis on the upcoming division races in the NFL, I thought it would be appropriate to solicit opinions on which teams will do well and emerge from the playoffs. As an appetizer of sorts, I stumbled across a posting on ESPN in which ~25 NFL pundits/writers expressed their opinions on who would play in the Super Bowl and who would win it. Their picks are shown below. For the record, I’m shocked and disgusted that nobody picked the Bears (even the Texans got 1 vote to represent the AFC) 😉 Please post your picks with a comment.

The Summary of ESPN’s poll: Ravens, Colts & Packers are the overwhelming favorites to GO….. ALL …… THE …… WAY! (As Chris “Shelley” Berman would say).
So what do you think??? We can have our own splinters poll.
Casey says
Ravens over Packers. You know the Ravens’ offense has improved when McGahee rarely gets mentioned any more.
TLarner says
Last season, I said the Colts would beat Philadelphia in the Super Bowl, so I got half the equation right. I do like the Packers winning the NFC, but I’m not really sure about the AFC. Indy is always a safe pick, so I’ll say Packers over Colts.
Wally says
Bears over Texans … oh wait …. I’m dreamin’. Ok, forget that nonsense. I’m going with a repeat of last year’s Super Bowl … Saints vs Colts … but this time, the Colts will beat the Saints. “Peyton’s Last Stand”.
Wally says
Anyone notice that the 49ers and Texans are gettin’ some love from the experts? Tom Jackson of ESPN, not shown above, reportedly predicts the Texans will go to the SB. Hope he’s right.
Casey says
The Texans to the SB? Geez…that’s a good way to get some attention. Did they upgrade their defense?
Wally says
Texans think they’ve upgraded their defense, but stud LB Brian Cushing starts on a 4 game suspension. That won’t help and they open vs Colts Sunday. Anyway, this team was a couple of stupid plays or FG misses from making the playoffs comfortably last year. But even I think a SB prediction this year is a huge stretch.
Waldo Chess says
What everybody think the unbeatens will be after week 4? I think it will be KC.
darrell says
The Texans sit in 1st place in there division a SB run might not be that muck of a stretch
