Ah yes the time is drawing near for Challenge I of Who am I? Get on your sports thinking cap. I have gathered bios for current athletes, not-so current athletes, and even one who was born in the 19th century.
A couple of things before we enter the fray. First, I am going to do an override on the system, and all comments will be withheld until tomorrow morning. Therefore, when you submit your answers, a message will appear indicating the answers have been received but are waiting in moderation. This way you can rest safe others are not using your work for their answers. DO NOT BE AFRAID WHEN YOUR ANSWERS DON’T APPEAR IMMEDIATELY.
On the topic of submitting your answers – I will post all ten Who am I biographies at once (7:30 EST Edgemere Standard Time). It is encouraged but not required that you number your responses. I would hate for anyone to get caught up in the heat of the moment (yes – a very bad Asia song is in my head right now) and to lose because you submitted your responses out of order.
Oh yeah – if you want to change your original response – go ahead. But it also changes the time of your ENTIRE response. So if you submit your original answers at 8:00 pm and then make edits at 9:30pm. – your submission time is 9:30 for all of your answers.
You have until midnight to submit your response and any possible corrections. Yes, I know that is more than enough time and allows for Google, Yahoo, and whatever searches. Bottom line – if you know your stuff, you will beat everyone to the punch anyway.
While I am on that topic, our winner is the person with the most correct answers. Time is the tie breaker. So if person A submits 9 correct answers at 8:00, and person B submits 10 correct at 9:30, person B is declared the winner. If two people get 10 correct, the first with the submission is the winner. Time is determined by when your response is received in the system. Just ask Muels – this can be painful. He missed out on a valuable point by seconds. The wordpress software does not have a second hand, but if time is an issue I will go with the order in which responses are received.
A word to the wise – if you have opened a text box and have started typing your answers, DO NOT HIT THE REFRESH BUTTON – you will lose your work and have to start again.
Overall – have fun with this. Participation is the most important thing. We will be awarding gold, silver, and bronze medals. Yeah, someone is going to win this time, but if all goes well, we will do this again.
Of course some good-natured smack is acceptable and maybe even encouraged. I guess this would be the place bring it.
Peace,
Casey

The only thing I have to say is that “Heat of the Moment” is a good song.

I’m with Chas- the only way to improve an Asia tune is with more cowbell!
Casey says
Cowbell? Like in Tropicana field cowbell? 🙂
Smitty says
OH that was low… I hate cowbells….
muels says
Not the fake Tampa cowbells- Christopher Walken’s “Bruce Dickenson” cowbells…Don’t fear the reaper…
Casey says
Now you’re pulling out Blue Oyster Cult?
muels says
I got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell!
