A defending state champion will look to reclimb the mountain starting in a Class B bracket that features six teams with winning records.
Monroe (No. 1 NYSSWA Class B) finished the regular season undefeated for the second season in a row and will look to win the Section V and NYS Class B title for the second straight year. The Red Jackets won five games by four possessions or more and turned in a point differential of plus-235.
East/World of Inquiry (No. 6 NYSSWA Class B) is the fifth seed in the bracket and was the only team to play Monroe close all year, holding the Red Jackets to a season-low 12 points. The defending Class A2 champions only allowed 6.1 points per game to opponents.
Second-seeded Wayne finished the season with wins in six of its final seven games. The offense is the story for the Eagles; Wayne scored 38.8 points per game in 2026 and eclipsed the 40-point mark five times.
The tournament begins with first round games this Friday, culminating in a championship game at St. John Fisher on November 14th.
