Two top 10 squads in the state rankings headline the Section V Class A1 bracket.
Brighton (No. 5 NYSSWA Class A) has earned the number one seed after an undefeated regular season. The Bruins won all of their games by two scores or more and are in pursuit of a third straight sectional title.
Hilton (No. 7 NYSSWA Class A) opened the year with five straight victories and is the third seed in the tournament. The Cadets average 40.6 points per game, which is good for the second best in Section V.
Second-seeded Churchville-Chili’s only loss this season came against Brighton. The Saints are 3-0 in one score games and have scored 27 or more points in five of their games.
First round action kicks off with one game this Thursday and three more Friday. The championship game is set for Friday, November 6th. Here’s the breakdown:
