Sectional Preview: Class B1 Boys’ Soccer

Class B1 has one side with double-digit victories among the eight-team bracket. 

Penn Yan (11-3-2) heads into sectional play as the number one seed, followed by Palmyra-Macedon (8-7-1) which played Class A in 2025. Last season’s Class B champion Hornell (8-7-0), and Caledonia Mumford/Le Roy (6-10-0) round out the top half of the bracket. 

Aquinas (3-12-0) and Midlakes/Red Jacket (2-12-1) moved down from Class A a year ago.

Sectional play begins on Wednesday, October 21^st with quarter final action, followed by the semi-finals on Saturday, October 24^th. 

The final is scheduled for Wednesday, October 28^th. The winner will take on the Class B2 winner in a state tournament qualifier on Saturday, October 31^st.
