Coach’s Quote:
“Really a fun night and win for the program. This is what some school football is all about, it was the end of spirit week, the band was in the stands and our boys played a heck of game for their fans. I thought that the lines on both sides of the ball really controlled much of the game, setting the edge on defense and letting our LBs flow and make some solid plays tonight. Jake McEntire and Trent Englert really do a heck of job in the middle and on the edges, Owen Duke and Aidan Kobylanski did a great job securing their jets and sweeps. Offensively, the line really took another step forward and that really is the key to our season. I can’t say enough of just how proud of the guys I am, guys like Trent and Aiden stepping up and sacrificing their own ambitions for the good of the team, that’s why it is so cool watching the big boys like Trent running one in on a heavy package. They are starting to come into their own upfront and giving Johnny Ayers and our skill guys time and space to make some plays and you saw that tonight with Yeriel Diaz-Pena having a great game rushing and catching the ball all over the field. Again, a really nice win for the fellas and overall just a good night for the towns of York and Pavilion, thanks to all the people that made it happen. And it’s back to the grind on tomorrow with the defending champs on the schedule next week.”
