Wednesday Girls’ Soccer Wrap: Waterloo’s Panek scores two in overtime victory; Brady notches eighth shutout for Penn Yan

Sienna Fallone netted a pair of goals while Ava Barbone and Elizabeth Valentino added a goal apiece to lead Aquinas (No. 2 NYSSWA Class AA). Jaden Deming finished with three assists, and Alex Sweet accounted for one helper in the win. Briar Hinds made four saves in the shutout, the fourth straight clean sheet for the Li’l Irish and the ninth overall this season. Claire Kissell hauled in eight saves for Pittsford Sutherland (NYSSWA Class A No. 8).

Amaya Glessing, Lennon Zabelny and Addi Bolt all found the back of the net to lead Wayne (NYSSWA Class A No. 18). With the effort, Glessing notched her 17th goal of the season, good for 11th in Section V. Stella Franus and Lilliana Keem both tallied an assist apiece.

MIDLAKES (6-6-1) 0

Gracelynn Lewis netted two goals for a brace to lead Penn Yan to its fifth victory in the last six outings. Alli Hansen added a goal while Makenna Mullins scored another for a team-high of nine goals on the season. Katie Wheeler tallied an assist while Cady Brady picked up her eighth shutout of the season.

PALMYRA-MACEDON(5-6-2) 2

Gianna Hayes and Eleanor Hayes scored a goal apiece thanks to assists from Alyssa Pritchard and Isabelle Nolan to lead Palmyra-Macedon. Elizabeth Beaton made five saves for the shutout.

Aspen Flynn scored off an assist from Lilah Dussault while Brooke Clement found the back of the net to lead Honeoye. With the score, Flynn has the third most goals in Class D with 14. Maddie Molina recorded the shutout in goal.

Gwyneth Panek found the back of the net twice for the brace to lift Waterloo. Kinsley Bree scored a goal while Peyton Lyons notched an assist. Marlie Dunton made four saves between the posts.

SOUTH SENECA/ROMULUS (0-10-0) 0

Carmin Bond netted the lone goal of the game thanks to an assist from Marla Upchurch to lift Red Jacket. The sophomore now has a team-high 12 goals on the year. Riley VanBortel tallied one save for the shutout.

Hannah LaBarge found the back of the net off an assist from Bethany Munson to lift Gananda/Marion. Avery Hoffmann hauled in eight saves for the shutout.

Teagan Wojieck found the back of the net twice including the game winner in overtime as Red Creek won its third straight and fourth in the past five games. Wojieck converted off a corner kick for the golden goal. Natalie Lewis assisted on Red Creek’s first goal of the night.
