Finn Halpin and Devin Hughes finished with a goal and an assist apiece to lead Batavia in non-league action. Halpin set up Jaziah Ayala to open the scoring. Brody Havens, with an assist from Hezekiah Doane, doubled the lead before Hughes found the back of the net with help from Troy Hawley. Halpin capped the scoring. Ben Morton registered the shutout behind the back four of Zach Cecer, Brody Ditzel, Hawley and Grady Moore.

Kyle LaGro had two goals and two assists to lead Canandaigua in non-league action. Jackson Hanks and Alex Eklou also accounted for two goals in the win. Stephen Chehata added a marker. Kim Puchades and Eamon Smith each had two assists. Cooper McKeegan contributed an assist. Eamon Smith recorded two saves in goal for his second shutout of the season.

Max Morgenstern and Frank Mazzarella IV both connected on first-half goals to pace Pittsford Sutherland in non-league action. Morgenstern converted a penalty kick four minutes into the match to start the scoring. Fifteen minutes later, Mazzarella struck from 40 yards out. Ronan Mulligan finished a Leif Johnson cross in the 73rd minute to cap the scoring. Sophomore David Roussell made seven saves, including a penalty kick, for his second consecutive shutout.

Sean Lewis scored the lone goal, and East Rochester posted back-to-back shutouts to start the season. Eliot Marino assisted on the goal. Thomas Sowinski tallied 10 saves to record the shutout for the Bombers.

Bryce Wolf finished with two goals and two assists to lead Churchville-Chili in inter-sectional play. Callum Berg, Preston Tensley and George Dembeyiotis each connected on their first career varsity goals. Tensley found the back of the net twice. Lucas Cariola also added a marker in the win. Cariola, Tensley, Isaac Gale and Jayvian Gibbs each had an assist. Landyn McDermott recorded his first varsity win in net.

Ryan Ensign scored two goals, assisted by Wesley Zeller and Emani Kapuya respectively, to lead Irondequoit in non-league action. Ensign’s first goal gave the Eagles a 1-0 lead and his second extended the lead to 4-0. Kapuya recorded another assist for the Eagles on a marker from Niko Bisirtsas for a 3-nil lead. Haden Griswold and Fin Hawn both recorded a goal while Eddie Milne and Hunter Wiesbeck recorded an assist apiece.

Noah Bernys ran on to a Lucas Jamesson lead and scored the game winner with :58 seconds remaining as East Aurora slipped past Haverling in non-league action. Jamesson started the scoring for East Aurora with an assist from Nicky Carl. Bronson Besant converted a penalty kick for the reigning NYS Class A champions who improved to 2-0-0 on young season. Connor Binkowski scored twice for Haverling. Callum Hill and Mark Beebe had an assist apiece.
“This was a great game for us today,” said Haverling head coach Matt Hill via email. “The boys could not have put forth a better effort against one of the best teams in Section 6. I am extremely proud of them”

Tournament MVP Aiden Howe accounted for two goals and an assist as Keshequa rallied to win the Don Thompson Tournament title. Cameron Wood added two goals and two assists in the win. Lukas Pike also scored and Adrian Terry had his first varsity goal. Owen Schoonover added an assist. Wood and Blake Sanford were named to the All-Tournament Team.
“I’m proud of the boys on how they reacted to being down 1-0 early in the game,” said Keshequa head coach Ron Macomber via email. “They also overcame some adversity after BK scored three unanswered goals on us to make it 5-4. Gavin Clinton had a great game at midfield and we were able to finish our chances tonight. Obviously, we have some things to clean up but it was a great win for our guys. ”

Tournament MVP Zach Baker scored two goals, including the game-tying goal, and Perry went on to win the title in the third annual Perry Kick-off tournament. Letchworth/Warsaw scored its lone goal in the fifth minute, only for Yellowjacket junior John Thomas Grover to assist Baker with the equalizer. The game remained tied through the half and up until the final 15 minutes when junior Colby Gonzalez-Carman hooked a corner kick for an “Olimpico” to give Perry a 2-1 lead. Baker scored his second of the night a few minutes later to extend the lead to 3-1.
“It feels good to finally win our own tournament after three years,” said Perry coach Kevin Halsteter via email. “Letsaw made things difficult for us and played well defensively. The guys just found another gear in the second half. It was great to see how fast we were winning the ball back and starting the next attack. We are happy, but we know we still have a lot of work to do.”

Tommy Clifford and Deacon Queal recorded two goals and an assist apiece to lead Caledonia-Mumford/Le Roy. Carter Wiley tallied a goal and an assist while Liam Ortiz and David Preston scored a goal. Liam McArdle, Jacob Murray, and Edwin Verdugo Garcia all tallied an assist. In goal, Aidan McKay, Devin Brown, and Domanic Dieter combined for the shutout.

After a scoreless first half, Attica/Alexander pulled away after the break for the win. The scoring opened when Attica/Alexander converted two penalty kicks. Late in the second half, Dansville’s Isaac Kurtz scored the team’s only goal of the night. Attica/Alexander scored the final goal of the night within the last three minutes to pad the lead to 3-1.
